x THE BOOKS x The books are mysterious things. Some will seem like normal books and nothing more. Some will take you to other places in Accardii the second you open them. And some will work differently when certain circumstances are met.
When a book is about to take you in, you'll know. The words will shift into an image and it will seem like your looking through the eyes of a bird. When the flythrough stops, you'll find yourself where it ended, outside whatever building it's taken you to. You'll feel groggy , as if you are the one who just flew there. And then you'll have to find your way out. It may be a simple matter, or you may find yourself in a lot of trouble.
x THE DIARIES x The diaries are your primary link to others. They are what brought you here, and you certainly don't want to lose what may be your only way back. They link to the other diaries, even when you're not in the same location as others, allowing you to converse through text. Or, if necessary, your diary will open a window and allow you to speak face to face.
In essence, your character's LJ is their diary. Please remember to note posts and replies as either [Text] or [Visual]. Your characters diaries will appear in a way that would be appealing to your character. For example, Sailormoon might have a diary with pink hearts and bunnies. Sweeny Todd's may be a book bound in black leather with a silver lock.
If the diaries are neglected too long, they'll send you to a random (and most likely dangerous) location, so do keep on top of your entries. And if you continue to be inactive...
...a most unpleasant goodbye.

x NIGHT AND DAY x Night and day may make places very different. Some truths can only be seen in the light of the moon, in the dark of the night, or on a sunny day. It's good to pay attention to the phases of the moon, as it may only reveal certain locations at certain times.
If changes aren't specifically stated in the 'places' section, the mods will make announcements. We'll also update with the moon phases, weather and anything else that may be important.
x THE NPCS x The NPCs, or Non-Player Characters, are few but integral to the game. They are the inhabitants of this ruined world, and may be the catylists to events or something that happens to your characters. If you require the use of an NPC, or want to do a scene with one, let the mods know.
